Battery Care/Performance
The range shown in brochures is the estimated distance as calculated under test conditions in accordance with European standards.
Actual range in normal use will depend upon many factors including the condition of the scooter and its batteries, weight of the driver, tyre pressure, ambient temperature and the gradient and surface of the pavement.
Accessibility will advise you how to get the best performance/range from your batteries and how to avoid overcharging or undercharging.
Over or under charging will have a serious effect on the performance and battery life.
The modern gel or sealed lead acid “deep cycle” batteries have long since
replaced the old wet batteries. These deep cycle batteries are clean and safe and can even
be transported in aircraft – so there is no need to miss out on your holidays abroad.
The batteries supplied with your scooter are especially suited to it and are known as "deep cycle" batteries.
It is important that you follow the charging procedures outlined in the scooter manufacturers hand book and if you have any doubts you can of course contact us directly when we will be only to pleased to advise you.
